General Contractor
A general contractor who still walks the job
Roofing, siding, painting, shades, concrete, masonry, interiors, and outdoor living — sequenced by one company so the flashing, the trim, and the patio do not belong to three different stories.

Plenty of companies will take a roof and disappear when you ask about the rotten fascia they just buried. Genes Construction was built as a general contractor that happens to be very good at roofs. That means the envelope, the interior patch after a leak, and the patio that replaces the one we dug out can live on one schedule and one conversation — usually with Mike.
We take jobs of very different sizes. A pipe-boot repair and a multi-room remodel are not priced or staffed the same, but they get the same rule: show up when we said we would, and do not hide the problem in a change order you could have seen on day one.
What we handle
Envelope first
Roofing, siding, gutters, and paint. Water is stopped before finish work starts. See the dedicated service pages for systems and materials.
Interiors after water
Ceiling, drywall, and finish repairs when a leak has already announced itself. Kitchens and baths when the project is a remodel, not a patch.
Outdoor living
Patios, decks, pergolas, exterior shades, concrete, and stonework — including full tear-outs of failed slabs, which is work our clients actually write reviews about.
Storm and insurance jobs
One scope for roof, siding, and interior. Fewer overlapping deductibles, fewer crews tripping over each other.
How a job actually runs
01
Consult
Walk the property, talk through the goal and the budget, and decide what belongs in this phase versus later.
02
Estimate
A written, no-obligation number with allowances called out. No ‘we will see when we open it’ on things we can already see.
03
Build
A sequence, a site that stays livable, and a close-out walkthrough. You should not have to chase us for the last punch item.
Questions we hear first
What does Genes Construction handle as a GC?
Roofing, siding, exterior paint, shades, concrete, stonework and masonry, storm restoration, interior repairs and remodels, and outdoor living. We are not a high-rise outfit; we are a family company that covers the house.
Do you take commercial interiors?
We take commercial roofing and exterior work of many sizes, plus selected interior repairs tied to water or remodel scopes we already own. Ask — we will tell you if a job is outside what we staff well.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry insurance appropriate to residential and commercial construction work in Texas. Certificates are available for property managers and HOAs.
Can you coordinate insurance work as the GC?
Yes. One scope, one set of photos, and one conversation with the adjuster is usually cleaner than three trades filing three claims.
