Storm Restoration
Storm damage repair after DFW hail and wind
Hail, straight-line winds, and flash rain hit Collin and Dallas County every season. We inspect, document, and restore the envelope — roof, siding, and gutters — without a circus on your lawn.

North Texas storms are not theoretical. They bruise shingles, fold gutters, and drive water behind siding in a single afternoon. Genes Construction responds with an inspection, photographs you can hand to an adjuster, and a repair plan that matches the actual damage — not a neighborhood-wide scare flyer.
We work with homeowners and commercial managers in Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Rockwall, Garland, Irving, Richardson, and the rest of the Metroplex. If the roof can be repaired, we say so. If the elevation is a total loss, we say that too.
What we handle
Roof storm repair
Missing tabs, bruised shingles, lifted flashing, and wet decking. Targeted repairs or full replacement when the field is spent.
Siding and trim
Cracked, dented, or blown-off panels replaced to match. We check what the wind did behind the cladding, not just the face.
Gutters and drainage
Re-hung, re-pitched, or replaced systems so the next rain does not dump against the foundation.
Insurance documentation
Date-stamped photos, elevations, and a written scope. We can meet the adjuster on site. We do not invent damage.
How a job actually runs
01
Document first
Photograph the roof, elevations, attic, and interior stains before anyone tears anything off. That file is your claim.
02
Scope with the carrier
We review the estimate against what we saw on the roof and flag missing line items — or items that do not belong.
03
Restore the envelope
Repairs are scheduled promptly so a small leak does not become a mold job. Materials are matched; the yard is left clean.
Questions we hear first
Does homeowners insurance cover hail damage?
Most Texas HO-3 policies cover sudden hail and wind, subject to deductible and the condition of the roof. We document what we see; the carrier decides coverage. We will not pressure you to file a claim that will not meet the deductible.
Should I wait for an adjuster before calling a contractor?
Call us first if the house is taking on water — tarping is time-sensitive. For cosmetic hail, an inspection before the adjuster visit usually produces a clearer claim because the photos already exist.
Which cities do you cover after a storm?
Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Allen, Dallas, Richardson, Garland, Irving, Rockwall, Fort Worth, and surrounding Collin, Dallas, and Rockwall County communities.
How fast can you get on a roof after a storm?
Emergency tarps are prioritized the same day or next when weather allows. Full replacements queue behind the storm’s volume; we give you a real date rather than a placeholder.
